A powerful lesson in perseverance!

Our coworkers in SE Asia are grieving the loss of 70 pastors who have died from COVID-19 this year. A big part of the team’s work is providing discipleship training and resources for area pastors, so these pastors were also their friends.

These devastating losses come on top of the chaos, threats, lockdowns, and unreliable internet, caused by an ongoing military coup in their country.

Despite the difficulties, the team continues to provide training for individuals and small groups at every opportunity. Nearly every week, they baptize someone. They take one day at a time. The spirit of Christ in them is inspiring as they live out 2 Corinthians 4:1, 8-9 (NIV).

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart . . . We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
