Mike’s Meditations
Mike Schrage, President of GNPI
“We must increase the speed if we are to keep pace with the yearnings of the Almighty . . . that would have all men to be saved.”
William Booth, the founder of The Salvation Army, made that statement over 100 years ago, and yet the truth of it is so relevant, it could have been said today!
God’s heart is that all might know him. In fact, we have this promise spoken through the prophet Habakkuk over 2,500 years ago: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
While great strides have been made since both these men lived, the truth is there are still over three billion people waiting to hear the Good News! We cannot slow down, if anything, we must increase our speed. John 9:4 says, "We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work."
During this pandemic, it can feel as if our work has stalled or that things are moving forward at a snail’s pace. But let me share with you some encouraging news: at GNPI, we (and that includes you) are experiencing our highest level of productions ever! Technology opens doors like never before. The convergence of the Internet and social media allows us to share the gospel with people who might never enter a church building.
Thank you for being a part of the GNPI team. Because of your prayers and gifts, there is no slowing down.
