Spring 2016 Prayer Report

Spring 2016 Prayer Report

We praise God for our ministry partners and the blessings He has given to our global network.

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” — Psalm 62:8 (NIV)

Strategic Meetings in Nicaragua: Executive Director Mike Schrage says, “More than 20 people representing several nations gathered in Nicaragua to discuss what God has been doing through media in Central and South America as well as the possibility of future partnerships with GNPI. Please pray for wisdom for the outcomes.”

Family Conferences: Abi Flores of GNPI-Mexico writes, “We traveled with Pecos and Lynda Inchaustegui to Monterrey, Mexico, in order to record a pilot for several family conferences this year. We hope this will become a 10-part video series about marriage. Pecos and Lynda have a broad range of knowledge. They are dynamic speakers who would be a great help to many families. We appreciate your prayers as we make plans for the conferences.”

Music Ministry: Isaac Masiga of GNPI-Kenya writes, “We are still trying to reach youth through music videos. We filmed the popular Mwanga band. We are editing the video and working on graphic designs for the DVD cover. Please pray the Lord will use this music video to draw Kenyan teens into a personal relationship with Him.”

Notable Impact: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Uganda says, “Christian workers tell us the GNPI videos showed on the Solar Kits are very helpful in the villages due to their power to attract interest as well as their emphasis on biblical teaching. The notable impact has been several conversions to Christ. Praise the Lord for the 21 people who were obedient to the Gospel in the Bulambuli area, north of Mbale and Jinja.”

Things I Love: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines writes, “One of the things I love the most about my work is meeting a lot of interesting new people as well as renewing old friendships. For example, while the host of WWJD was getting ready, I enjoyed visiting with his lovely wife! Pray for this series as we discuss new ideas and other issues in the coming year.”

A Messiah Movement: Timothy P of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Pray for a Messiah movement to open the spiritual eyes of the people. They need to see the true and living God who came to the world as our Messiah. We will work towards this and believe God will surely accomplish it through us.”

Praying for Wisdom: Tom Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand says, “Pray that we can find the best stories and the right people. My team is committed to featuring people who live godly lives. We need God’s wisdom to select faithful disciples.”

Planning session

The Wizard of Uz: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine reports, “We wish you could have been here for our meeting with Andrey from Uzbekistan, the leader of the Central Asia Apologetics ministry chapter. I have nicknamed him the Wizard of Uz. Media is the only way to spread the Message in his area. Digital book readers, cell phone apps, and online video and audio resources allow our team to work without breaking any laws against the Bible and Christian literature. Our years of experience help us to continue our ministry in the occupied territories where the limitations are very strict. Please keep this outreach in your prayers!”

Persecuted for His Name: Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, writes, “Here in northern India, preaching the Gospel is difficult with a new political party in power. We have to be on our guard every time we go out to preach or conduct mass meetings. Some people try to disturb us by throwing stones on our gatherings or cutting off the power. Our evangelists have been beaten for showing Bible clips on Solar Kits. The local administration has punished these criminals, but ensuring justice is an ongoing and difficult process. We are thankful to God for taking care of us as we face persecution for His Name.”

Room Renovation: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “Rejoice with us as we have completed of our much needed repairs to our control room and recording room. We are preparing an Easter production for national television.”

Project Nomad Updates

Worship in Chile: Habacuc Diaz of Project Nomad-Chile says, “Praise the Lord! We finished six new worship videos. Churches in the area will use these for leading worship when no musicians are available. Two of them have been posted on YouTube already. We also made a CD of the songs. The local churches responded very positively. They are giving the CDs to first time visitors as a gift.”

Basic Training Online: Project Nomad Coordinator Mark Allen is recording videos to supplement the other basic training materials. He is also working to complete an online curriculum. Please pray they will be useful and cost effective for many Christian workers who are using media to learn and then share the Gospel around the world.

Incredible Opportunity for China: Project Nomad Coordinator Mark Allen says, “We confirmed dates in October for a training event in Hong Kong. Five teams of three will participate. Each team represents a province in China, which means the creation of active Nomad teams in five Chinese provinces potentially. Praise the Lord for this incredible opportunity!”
