Prayers & Praises

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. — Isaiah 55:6 (NIV)

A New Opportunity: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “Please join us in prayer about an opportunity to connect with a new people group in north India. We met a Christian worker who is an excellent preacher in the Hindi and Urdu languages. He preaches in a compelling and unique way for both the Hindi and Urdu audiences. We are talking with him about creating a set of five to seven videos with biblical messages and a YouTube channel for him. Web series are becoming more popular in our social media network. We are also brainstorming about the follow-up mechanism and audience connectivity.”

Positive Feedback: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda writes, “PTL! We received some positive feedback from the Karamojong project we did earlier this year. This project starts with stories in Genesis and goes all the way to the New Testament. The stories are grouped in different sections: Jacob the Deceiver, Jacob’s Dream, Jacob and Laban, Jacob in Prison, Mighty Men of God, Servants of God, Jesus the Teacher, Jesus Lord and Saviour, and Jesus’ Death and Resurrection. Each story has a picture book and guide to go along with the audio recordings. We have had several people stop by our office to ask for copies of the project. We are trying to make contacts from the area where most of the Karamojong-speaking community members live.”

Leading Others: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes,“Last month was a joyful time as the new academic year began. It started with the graduation ceremony at the Ukrainian Evangelical Seminary, the school where we help future ministers gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills for ministry and for edifying the body of Christ. Please pray for these workers of Christ who are starting their walk of leading others.”

Seeking His Guidance: Gayle Silkwood of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, writes, “It has been one year since I took over the media ministry after Tom’s passing. (I arrived back in Thailand last fall with Angela Morse.) Please pray for the Lord’s guidance in my decisions for the future.”

Offering Hope: Timothy P. of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Our team is updating how we use social media. We have created a new Facebook account, Sharing the Truth in Burmese. Is Jesus the Lord God? is a resource with questions which received 201,082 views in the last couple of years. We pray that these individuals will seek Christ as their Savior!”
