Prayers & Praises

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)

Changed Lives: Timothy P. of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “On July 9, four people decided to be baptized into Christ. One of them was a Buddhist man from Korea who couldn’t speak Burmese. We taught him with the help of his girlfriend. He shares this testimony, ‘I came to this area to work on a certain project. I’ve heard about Christ and Christians, but I didn’t know why or how people worshiped Christ? When I heard about the true and living God, I realized that I needed to worship Him instead of worldly gods. In Him, I have received peace in my heart. My ideas and lifestyle changed in Christ. On my behalf, Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, and He showed us that He is the true God by overcoming death.’ ”

An Exciting New Project: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “I want to share the good news that our Zindagi Aaj (Life Today) video shoot has started, and we are planning to do two episodes in a row. The first episode we are shooting is about how couples don’t respect their parents and behave badly to them. The storyline is about a reporter who was sent by her boss to shoot an interview of an older person with broken family relationships. Listening to the older person’s life story caused the reporter to realize that she was treating her parents in the same way. The reporter went to her parents, asked forgiveness, and they repaired their relationship. The second episode is about a married couple overcoming the challenges of an extramarital affair and troubled children. Rejoice with us in this exciting time. Thanks again to all GNPI partners who support this project.”

Progress on Programs: Isaac Masiga of GNPI-Nairobi, Kenya, writes, “Thank you for your prayers! We have been following up with our network of churches and looking for more opportunities for ministry. We are working on the Redefining the Church series, including six episodes about God’s people returning to fundamental truths, five episodes about doing business the Kingdom way, and four episodes about having a healthy marriage. We’re still progressing with other projects such as the YouVersion Swahili plans.”

Team Building: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “The team-building trip to visit our coworkers, friends, and partners was encouraging for all of us. We developed a common vision, and we supplied their needs in books, media files, and clothing. Praise His name! The most important strategic goal of the trip was accomplished as well, because I obtained the agreement of all the potential members of the national advisory board. This will help the ministry continue with the proper accountability, strategies development, and decision-making approaches. Please pray with us for the Lord’s wisdom and guidance to be provided through this team of like-minded servants.”

Solid Marriages: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, says, “We had a good time in Querétaro last month when recording lessons on marriage with Lynda and Pecos Inchaustegui. We are very grateful to our ministry partners at the Universidad Cristiana de México (UCM) who opened their campus to record this project. We hope these lessons will help many people to build strong and solid marriages. We plan to finish the ten lessons in November.”
