Prayers & Praises

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

State of Chaos: Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, shares, “We pray the riots will die down and for people to recover from the damage and loss of life. Right now hospitals cannot access or transport victims. Protestors have shut down seven primary water plants. This forces the cities to use emergency reserves amidst a limited water supply. Work has ceased and resulted in a loss of more than five billion dollars over the past few days. Railway tracks have been blocked. Airports have hiked their rates by 300%. Commuters are stranded. Members from some of our churches are upset because they are unable to travel to work. Pray for the peace of Christ in this state of chaos.”

A Grand Slam: Eighteen people from eight different Latin American countries gathered for a two-day meeting in Nicaragua last month to create a synergy of like-minded workers and to build relationships. International Consultant Bob Gurwell said, “This meeting was not just a home run, it was a grand slam. May God receive all the glory.” Thank you for praying for this regional meeting.

Easter Sunday Broadcasts: Manee Masey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “We are preparing the music for our Easter broadcast. We received a very good time slot for our program. Plans are being finalized, and we may have the opportunity to broadcast on three different national TV networks on Easter Sunday at three different times. I am blessed to work with a really strong team. Please keep our staff in prayer and for our program preparation, broadcasting, and follow-up.”

Shining in the Darkness: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “Last year we published eight books (three new books from national authors, two were translations into Russian, and three were translations into Ukrainian). Our newest book, “The Bible and Politics: Foundations for Civil Society” is even in use by secular NGOs as a manual for training public activists! Praise the Lord! The truth of the God’s Word is shining in the darkness.”

Miracles of Jesus: Pongdang of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Thank you very much for your prayers. We are working on the scripts for the Miracles of Jesus in Burmese and preparing to record the audio. Then we plan to create visuals, including a combination of actors and animation.”
