Prayers & Praises

“For he is the living God and he endures forever . . .”  — Daniel 6:26 (NIV)

Satisfied: Timothy P. of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “An evangelist who uses GNPI materials to share the Gospel brought back this encouraging testimony. ‘I am 70 years old and live in a Buddhist village. I knew nothing about Christianity or about Jesus. A group of evangelists came to my house and asked me if I wanted to hear about Jesus. They told me about Jesus in a way that I could understand. I was so happy. I wish I had heard about this years ago. Now I can rely on Jesus for my salvation. I am very satisfied.’ ”

Thirty New Books: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “It is amazing how kind God has been to us. He’s provided guidance and power to carry on with our ministry despite various obstacles, including the war and the scattering of people. It’s hard for me to believe, but we have published thirty books since the war started, and several new ones are in the pipeline. Please pray these powerful tools will help spread the Truth of the Scriptures among unbelievers, strengthen the church’s confidence in the Truth, and equip God’s people to proclaim His Word effectively!”

A Special Team: Gayle Silkwood of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, writes, “Thank you for your prayers. This past year as the administrative manager, I’ve learned some things about teamwork. Although I’m no expert, I’ve found that communication is number one. Availability is close behind. If possible, it is good to add some vulnerability, humility, and lots of love. Of course drenching it all in prayer is critical. When each member of the team is willing to contribute these things to the best of their ability, a tight working relationship is formed. My husband Tom knew this years ago. He would say, ‘Our team is special. They fit together well and can fill in the gaps when they need to.’ I’m beginning to understand what he meant.”

Meeting Together: Steven Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, writes, “Our board of directors is meeting today. Please pray for them to have wisdom in guiding our ministry to accelerate global evangelism in the most effective ways.”

Like Father Like Son: Abi Flores of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “We are thankful to have David (the son of our regional director Gustavo Velázquez) with us in the office to work on his professional practices for his university studies. He will help GNPI for the next five months and is working on projects like The Global Gospel in sign language.”
