Prayers & Praises
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” — 1 John 5:14 (NIV)
Welcome to the Family: GNPI is pleased to welcome our new International Director Mark Johnson. The International Director plays a key role in equipping our global teams with vision, insights, strategies, and professional expertise that allows them to create effective, culturally relevant media for the communities they serve. Thank you for praying with us for a person to fill this position, and please pray for Mark and his wife Lynette during their transition to Joplin.
Does God Exist?: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “We are developing new resources, including a book and a training seminar entitled Does God Exist? Our goal is to equip believers to demolish atheistic worldview strongholds in this postcommunist part of the world. Please pray with us for this project and for complete healing of my kidney problem.”
Signs of Inspiration: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “We finished the second Del Dicho Al Hecho (From Words to Deeds) video series. It’s goal is to encourage faith in action and made possible by our partner for deaf people With My Hands. The series is inspiring people. Now we are working to complete The Global Gospel in sign language. Please pray it will help many to know Jesus.”
Worship Song: Timothy Jai Kumar of Project Nomad-Chennai, India, writes, “This is our first original song on video. We call it Yeshu. One of our team members wrote and composed the song in Burmese, and the other team members translated it into English, Tamil, and Hindi. The music is original and also done by our team members. We did not hire any professionals to do this project, instead, we took it as a challenge to do on our own. It is been well received by all who have watched it.”
Praying for Vision: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, writes, “We get lots of comments from viewers who have been encouraged by our online devotional series Faith Matters, too! It is a blessing to have some of them invest in the ministry in practical ways. We have also been getting comments from cult members who just like to provoke arguments. Pray that as they watch, their eyes would be opened too.”
