Prayers & Praises
“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.” — Psalm 1:1-3 (NLT)
A Global Forum: Tom Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand writes, “Our team worked at the World Without Orphans Global Forum earlier this month. We recorded video for the conference. A team from Ukraine uploaded the video to stream it on the Internet and within minutes comments came in from around the world. Five hundred people attended from 70 countries. God is moving, and it’s a wonderful blessing to have a small part in it. Thanks to all of you who have given us the chance to serve.”
Rioting: Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, shares an update from her son, Suraj, and their coworkers. Suraj reports, “We were caught in the middle of a heated rally. We were traveling home after a short filming trip when we saw barricades on both sides of the road. There were police and military vehicles stationed along with police officers and soldiers keeping things in check. Thousands of protestors and civilians were on the road and near the road. We eventually got back to Chandigarh by taking a highway through the eastern mountain range. God was with us. We are praying for these riots to die down, so things can return to normal.”
Sharing the Love of Christ: Abi Flores of GNPI-Mexico writes, “We are working on the cover design for a music DVD and preparing The Global Gospel audio for use on the radio. Please join us in praying for these projects to be a blessing in the lives of many people and to help them to understand and share the love of Christ.”
Presidential Elections: Pray for our coworkers at GNPI-Uganda to have God’s wisdom as they return to work after the national and local elections. Pray for peace in Uganda.
Project Nomad Training in South Africa: Project Nomad Coordinator Mark Allen says, “Praise the Lord! Plans are being finalized for the advanced training in Johannesburg with Project Nomad-South Africa. I am going over the training materials with a couple from Avalon Church of Christ in Virginia as they prepare to join me for the trip in May.”
