Prayers & Praises

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.” — Romans 15:5 (NIV)

Decisions for Christ: Pongdang of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Recently our team member Aung Shine shared the Gospel in some unreached villages, and we saw the wonderful work of God. Many people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. One former Buddhist said, ‘This young teacher visited our village and talked about Jesus Christ. I realized that I was following false gods! The only One who can save me is Jesus Christ alone. I have decided that I will worship Jesus Christ.’ ”

A Strong Connection: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “The celebration and commencement at the Ukrainian Evangelical Seminary was a special blessing for us last month. I appreciate that the needs of the Church are the seminary’s top priority. These ministry partners are usually the first to incorporate our training courses into their curriculum! It was true of our recent courses on Practical Christian Ethics and The Bible and Politics. They have already scheduled the Biblical Anthropology course we are developing for this academic year. It provides a strong connection between nature and the purpose of humans with the biblical account of man’s origin. Please pray for this new course and for the servants of the Lord who are sharing what they have learned with others!”

Videos for Village Churches: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “We sent the final sermon videos to an evangelist working among house churches in the Jabalpur villages. This preacher is using the recorded messages with about 1,400 people, and he is very thankful. We are also completing the assembly of 40 new Solar Kits. One pastor took a couple of the Solar Kits for his ministry in Nepal.”

Presenting Jesus: Gayle Silkwood of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, writes, “I’m thankful for this energetic group of coworkers who are capturing stories of faith, courage, love, and hope to present Jesus to the people of Thailand.”

Motivated: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, writes, “The Mbale team is motivated and working hard towards meeting our goals for this year. The Marriage Series is being released. The team is also finalizing projects with LivingStone International University (LIU) and other ministries. Part of our strategy for this year was to convert a few projects to sign language, and we met a lady who is willing to help us start with the short stories. Please remember us in your prayers, so we can accomplish God’s will in Uganda.”
