Prayers & Praises

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up . . .” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

GNPI Praises and Prayer Requests for October 24, 2016

Responding with Joy: Pongdang of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “A member of the staff took a Solar Kit to a new village. The Christian worker showed some of our teaching resources about God, evil spirits, the origin of human beings, the life of Christ, and testimonies of Christians. While the villagers were watching the programs, he paused at certain sections and explained the story to them. The people responded with joy. They said the presentation was very helpful for them because they didn’t really understand the Bible by hearing alone or watching it themselves. However, with proper explanation of certain points helped convince their hearts.”

Thank you: Project Nomad Coordinator Mark Allen received this encouraging message about the Nomad regional training in Togo several weeks ago. Pastor Marius from Côte d’Ivoire writes, “Thank you for the love you showed for us in the training. Our local church has scheduled a celebration next month to thank God before we work hard to implement what we have learned and win souls for the Kingdom of God.”

Teach Us to Pray: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, says, “Our new live program Buenas Tardes (Good Evening) has started well. It is a very good way to interact with the audience and to offer encouragement from God’s Word. A student from the Bible college here in Piedras Negras visited the hospital to pray for people there and to share the Message of salvation. The student met a young man at the hospital named Armando Lopez who gave his life to Jesus Christ. Armando heard our first live show and was excited to hear us greet him on the radio. Armando also learned more about prayer, as the theme of the day was: Jesus, teach us to pray. ”

Wider Audience: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, writes, “Asin at Ilaw (Salt and Light) is back on the air on a cable station for the next two months. Seventeen years worth of weekly programming is available from this series of real life testimonies about God’s power and presence. I am grateful that God’s Word truly endures!”

A Fruitful Meeting: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “Praise the Lord! We had a very fruitful meeting with the president and academic dean of Poltava Theological Seminary about starting a special program to train apologetics ministry leaders for local churches. The development of biblical foundations for both Christian and secular education is one of our strategic priorities.”
