Prayers & Praises

“. . . be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)

Solar Kits in the Field: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, writes, “All our Solar Kits are in the field except for two. We are in contact with the evangelists who are using them and thankful to hear that a lot of people are learning about Christ through the videos. One interesting testimony came from a couple in Bulambuli, in northern Mbale. They said they learned a lot from the Swahili film, Ndume Halisi, about family leadership. It is exciting to receive stories from people whose marriages are being transformed by watching this project from our coworkers in Nairobi as we work to finalize our Marriage for Life series. Please keep us in your prayers as we work together for the glory of His name.”

A Blessed Dedication: Timothy Pungsar of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “God helped us complete the dedication successfully. It usually rains every day during this season. We prayed it would not rain, and it did not rain at our location during the dedication time. We praise the Lord for this reason. We expected 15-300 people, but nearly 400 people attended. It is difficult to travel here because there is no bus line, and it is 30 miles away from downtown. Yet God sent people to pray for us. I met with all the heads of the villages and served them dinner later in the afternoon. Then I explained the purpose of this center and building.”

Reaching Out to Displaced People: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “We are contacting internally displaced persons (IDPs), bringing them together, and creating materials for them. Many are open to the Message. Pray for us to reach them.”

Making the Message Loud and Clear: Gayle Silkwood of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, writes, “The Thai team recently traveled to the country of Laos where they interviewed a Christian woman, Sopaporn, who works with a group of about 20 deaf people. In this Communist country she has found a way to minister by helping them to support themselves. They create craft items and are learning to bake. We praise the Lord for His influence around the world. Our team wants to encourage and inspire the Church to keep working together to show Christ’s love wherever we are.”

Trusting the Lord in Transition: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “Pray for us as we experience various transitions in our office. We want to continue to accelerate the Gospel and to trust the Lord these coming changes.”
