“. . . if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:19-20 (NIV)
First Christian in My Village: Timothy P. of GNPI-SE Asia shares this testimony from a new believer, “I am a 63 year old, and I have been a Buddhist since I was a baby. A teacher who used media tools from GNPI-SE Asia came to my village, showed us the Scriptures on the life of Christ, and explained Him to us. I realized the way I was going was wrong. There are no other Christians in my village yet. We have 145 houses, and over 880 people live there. Pray I can learn more and share the Good News with others in my village.”
Daniel School: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “We have joined a very exciting project called Daniel School. Its purpose is to train selected teenagers to be strong leaders. The program involves studies of Scripture, apologetics, logic, rhetoric, sports, camping, hiking, rafting, and teamwork. Our part is to provide academic content for the program. All sessions are broadcast online. I was especially touched by a group of seven young people who followed us online from the war zones in this region. May the Lord keep them safe and protected! Please pray for this project and for these devoted youth. They are future of the Church and of this nation.”
Favor with the Government: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, says, “Pray for our editing of the Marriage for Life series to go well and for God to use the programs to help many families. In addition, pray for God’s favor as we update the registration of our office with the government. We are still waiting on the last key recommendation of the security panel and commissioner from the Mbale district before we can submit the request to Kampala.”
VBS Outreach: Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, writes, “Praise the Lord! VBS is a great opportunity to share the Gospel. The children are introduced to the Message of Christ. This gives the families of the church the opportunity to bring visitors. It also brings members out of their comfort zones and beyond the walls of their own churches to witness for Christ. We went ahead with our scheduled program even though we were short on VBS materials and resources this year. We shared the Gospel with the children through our Solar Kits and the programs created in our studio. Our church leaders often work in rural areas where there is no electricity. These tools are very handy and important for them to preach the Gospel.”
Here Comes the Bride: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, says, “We plan to produce a new series on marriage with a dynamic couple, Pecos and Lynda Inchaustegui, starting in August. Pray that God will use these lessons to help many relationships.
