Prayers & Praises

O Lord, you are my lamp. The Lord lights up my darkness.” — 2 Samuel 22:29 (NLT)

Traveling to Central Asia: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “Please pray for our trip to Central Asia during May 10-17. Pray for safety, guidance, the training, and God’s protection over us as well as for us to be an encouragement to our co-workers in the field.”

Impacting Lives: Our friend Don Roberts took a Solar Kit to a ministry partner in Zimbabwe. Don says, “GNPI is impacting lives. We praise God for the tools to better serve Him, and we thank GNPI for providing them! Eighty people made decisions for Christ in Mhondoro, South Africa, in December. Thank you for your continued prayers and gifts that make events like this possible.”

Learning Together: Othaina Eid of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, says, “Praise the Lord! The classes with LivingStone International University (LIU) have been going well. We are helping teach two courses this year: video production and audio production. We are using the services of an LIU student who is capable of working with the software and playing several instruments to help produce the songs for the Kampala Church of Christ. Their choir came in last year, but we will remix their songs when they return to Mbale.”

Standing Firm: Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, writes, “Sumitra’s testimony is one of many inspiring testimonies shared during our women’s ministry workshop. Sumitra comes from a family of Hindu priests, but she began attending a prayer meeting in her neighborhood. Then she started meeting with Christians each week and received a Bible to read. She declares that she has personally accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and no one can take her faith from her. Her family has warned her of dire consequences, but she is firm in her stand for the Lord. She wants to get baptized along with five other ladies who have accepted Jesus. Pray for Sumitra to be continually filled with strength in her decision for the Lord.”

Holding Up Our Family: Gayle Silkwood of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, writes about her husband Tom’s death on March 26, 2016, “It became apparent to us that the prayers of believers were keeping our family from collapsing under grief and stress. Thanks to all who held up our family in prayer over the last month of heartache and sorrow. Please continue to pray for comfort and peace in the daily lives of the family. Pray also for guidance as I consider my role in the future of media ministry.”
