Pray for Uganda
Even though Idi Amin’s dictatorship over Uganda ended in 1979, the pain and scars left by his rule run deep. This man is known in history as one of the most brutal and murderous rulers of all time. Uganda is healing, but this nation needs our prayers.
- Only 4% of the population is over the age of 55.
- 1.5 million people are living with HIV and AIDS.
- 12 million people do not have access to a safe water source.
- 18 million people have no sanitation services.
However, there is hope! The spiritual horizon is bursting with opportunities. GNPI opened a regional center in Mbale, Uganda, in 2010. In the four years that center has been operational, partnerships have been formed with a passionate team of missionaries, as well as with two local colleges. GNPI-Uganda is working side by side with these educational institutions to train and create resources for Ugandan Christians to use as they bring hope to their people.
