Several evangelists and I visit churches and individuals to preach the Word and make the most of every opportunity to share Christ. I am thrilled to share the following testimonies of two new sisters in Christ. These testimonies reveal how God is working through the materials produced here in SE Asia to strengthen churches and transform lives:
My name is DNS. My husband is a church elder in the Y Church. We have been happily married for many years. Yet, whenever my husband talked about baptism, I refused to listen to him because I was raised in a different church background. Then on Christmas Eve, Evangelist DJO preached about baptism. He preached that baptism is symbolic of Jesus’ death and resurrection. He preached about Jesus and his time on earth. After that I asked DJO more about baptism. He taught me from the little book called A Handbook for Evangelism. He showed me Scriptures and read them to me. From A Handbook for Evangelism, I read, “There is no denomination in Christ.” That phrase was just for me. Now I understand that the Church was established by Jesus. He bought it by his blood. I accepted Jesus as my Savior and was baptized. Now I am happy to know that Jesus is the only Savior and the only way to go to heaven. I feel like a new person. I am happy because my husband insisted that I go to that Christmas celebration. May God bless you!
My name is DHY. My husband is a church elder in the N village. I recently became a believer. I was a Buddhist. My parents pressured me never to go to church or listen to my husband. But last Christmas, I went to a Christmas celebration with my uncle’s family. My uncle invited Evangelist DJO to explain more about the true, living God. From A Handbook for Evangelism, I now understand that there is only one God. The god my parents told me to worship was not the god that I needed to worship. I learned so much from this book about Gautama, who was nothing more than a human being. This book explains the five attributes of the true God who gives life and overcomes death. That is what I want. I thank God for giving me a chance to hear and learn about him. I am saved now. I am happy to know about the true, living God.
Thank you for your prayers, and for your giving, so that more people can know Christ in SE Asia.
