“So is my word that goes out . . . It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” — Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)
God Is Working! Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines writes, “Thanks so much for your prayers on our trip to Tacloban to show All Things New to the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan (which devastated this area in 2013). The trip went well. At the end of the movie, a pastor from another community stood up to summarize the Message, and he was weeping. It took a long time for him to get himself together, and his voice broke several times as he talked of the movie. He closed in prayer. It was really a blessed time to hear these people praying. I learned later that the audience was full of unbelievers! I believe that God is truly working in their hearts. We have sowed seeds and done what God has said. Throughout the trip the verse that kept ringing in my head was Isaiah 55:11.”
Joy and Sadness in Nepal! Simmi Deepak of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, says, “The Nepal outreach was a time of joy and sadness as we reached out to a world full of hurt and hopelessness. It was sad because of their situation in life and joyful as we were able to provide for some of their needs and share Jesus with them. Life in Nepal is never easy, and the earthquake has made it even more unbearable, especially for the women and children. Please continue to pray for the needs of the people there.”
Nine New Believers! TP of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Praise the Lord! We have completed a two-day seminar in one of the villages. Nine unbelievers attended, and they accepted Christ. We have also produced a new chart. The chart helps us explain that all believers should be one in Christ and obey Christ’s teachings. Ten preachers have examined and approved the chart as helpful.”
Exceeding All Expectations! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “People in Ukraine have a great hope the war will eventually be over. The issue of building a proper civil society is the most burning one for many. The interest in our new book The Bible and Politics (published after discussing the issue for half a year at “Reliable Foundations” open online apologetics club) has exceeded all our expectations! It became a great resource to equip the workers of the Kingdom at various levels, from the volunteer army chaplains to the partner ministries. Praise be the Lord!”
Solar Kit Outreach! Jesca Naavah of GNPI-Uganda writes, “The Solar Kit program is growing. We gave out two new ones this week to members of the Kampala Church of Christ. Last month more than 231 people in Uganda watched different programs like The Global Gospel in Luganda, the Jesus film, and more on the Solar Kits.
