Prayers & Praises

“. . . You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” — John 6:69

One Thousand Pounds of Books! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “We set a record a couple months ago in sending resources to Russia! One thousand pounds of books were shipped from Crimea for the homeschooling conference at St Petersburg. There were no customs inspections, hectic paperwork, international shipment expenses, or customs fees. God uses everything for the Kingdom! Please pray with us for seeds to be planted properly and bring abundant fruit.”

Astonished! Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “We invited Mr. Obed, who is an Afghani working in Delhi, to begin our dubbing work for the Ignite project in the Persian language. He also speaks Pashto, Dari, and Hazaragi. Working on these languages was a challenge for our staff. Now we are doing well, and the quality of the work is good. Our staff asked Mr. Obed about his testimony, and we all were astonished by how God calls His people. Mr. Obed told us he was raised as a Muslim. Through a website and chatting with a missionary, he become a Christian. He was born into a well-off family, and his father still works in an important government post at Afghanistan. Mr. Obed left everything in 2001 to follow Christ as a refugee in Delhi. We all were touched by his testimony. Please pray for the Persian Ignite dubbing work.”

Eighth Congress! Tom Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand writes, “We are working overtime to get materials finished in time for the Eighth Congress. This will be the largest gathering of Thai Christians in the history of Christianity in Thailand. Our team has been asked to produce video for the event, as well as film the event. They expect around 6,000 people to attend.”

An Exciting Relationship! Stephen Muturi, operations manager of GNPI-Uganda, writes, “GNPI’s relationship with the Nimule mission team is exciting. The distribution through Solar Kits has picked up well with the Nimule team, calling for more involvement from us. They have two kits and have been able to show GNPI media to the Madi, Dinka, and other local language speakers. In addition to this, they have started another program where they buy memory cards and load them with audio Bibles and GNPI materials. Then they distribute the memory cards to the people they know. A partnership with local Catholic chaplains has made their distribution goals more attainable.”

Confidence to Share the Gospel! TP of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Late last night we concluded the youth camp in Malaysia where I was invited to speak. After that over 20 students came to take a photo with me. They said they have learned how to reach others for Christ, and they were more confident in sharing the Gospel. Thank you very much for your prayers for this event.”
