Prayers & Praises
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.” — Psalm 136:1
Equipping Every Christian! PD of SE Asia writes, “TP and I went to the northern part of our region during a recent national holiday. We had a good time to visit church leaders from different churches and discuss the distribution of the tools we are producing. We have agreed to work together with local evangelical committees in the distribution of the tools among Christian churches, so that every Christian is equipped with tools whenever he or she encounters non-believers.” Please pray for wisdom for these Christian workers as they combine their efforts for the Lord.
Keep Us in Your Prayers! Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, shares, “These days we are having a hard time getting access to water, just two hours in the morning and evening. We get water apportioned to us in rations, too, but it is quite dismal how much we get. Continue to keep us in your prayers, as we all had heavy rains and hailstones in Punjab. For Punjab, this has been the worst time for hailstones and floods because of harvesting season. We’ve lost over 50 percent of our crops. Many farmers have committed suicide. This disaster has also caused a surge in prices of crops, making it harder for people to sustain the needed amount of supplies. May God give us the strength and never-ending desire to work together to hasten his coming.”
Excited and Nervous! Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines writes, “We are all excited and nervous! We had our first taping of Say It Forward on May 6, featuring two articulate guests: Efren Nola taught on Discipleship and Noel Pabiona talked about Integrity. We thank God for helping us work out the details for this new series.”
Creation Exploration Teenagers Club! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine reports, “The branches of the Eurasian Apologetics Society in Russia keep growing. An eastern group at Blagoveschensk (Amur River area) has started a new project: the Creation Exploration Teenagers Club, which teaches kids science with our textbooks, videos, and other resources. God provided this great opportunity. Right after the kids explored the evidences for the biblical flood and ice age accounts theoretically, a friendly evolutionary paleontologist, Yuri, agreed to help with some practical classes on fossils. Yuri is not convinced yet (years of knowing nothing but evolution stiffened his perception), but the kids were greatly strengthened in the veracity of the Genesis account! Please pray for these future missionaries to Russia and for Yuri’s opening to the Truth.”
New Life in Christ! Tom Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand writes, “Praise God for changing lives! Chaiyo was a gang member in Minnesota addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and stealing. His nephew brought him into the Thai community of believers where he gave up his old life and received new life in Christ. Click here to see Chaiyo’s testimony, subtitled in English.”
