Prayers & Praises

“I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised . . .” — Psalm 18:3

Threats! Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, reports, “Things are very tough here with the persecution of our Christian pastors. They are threatened every day now. Yesterday a pastor and his wife came to us. They told us people have threatened them against conducting Christian activities. We informed the police. Please keep our pastors, Christian workers, along with all of our staff, in your prayers. Medical clinics, distributing food, and schools are some of the tools in which we can share the Gospel to the people without any problems. Thanks to all of our supporters who continue helping us with these kinds of tools to reach the lost.”

Trip to Quezon! Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines writes, “My husband, Bert, and I traveled about 80 miles to the Quezon Province recently. We arrived after driving more than four hours on a mixture of road conditions. We were welcomed by a pastor whom we had featured eons ago on an episode of Asin at Ilaw (Salt and Light). There were 14 churches represented. When Bert explained we were giving them Bible Study materials, their faces really lit up! They were hungry for materials, and they felt they just received a windfall. We pray that the seeds we’ve scattered would bear fruit in due time. Thanks so much for your prayers.”

A Special Pleasure! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “This winter was the very first time for us to visit Korosten, a city with rich history. It was a special pleasure for us to train Christian leaders of this area in spreading the Truth of God’s Word in the midst of the troubled world of pluralism. We taught at two schools, a seminar on grounding children in a worldview based on the biblical account of our origin and our brand new course on Practical Christian Ethics. Please pray, along with us, for these workers of Jesus who are going to spread the Message as a ripple, according to 2 Timothy 2:2!”

Happy to Help! Pong Dang of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “We recently completed a hymn book at the request of a people group along one of the borders. It took about two months for completion. They requested our help in publishing it, since they were not able to produce it by their own effort. There are only a few Christians in this ethnic group. However, they are very interested in hearing the Gospel. An evangelist, who is working with us, visits there frequently and shares the Gospel with these people. We are very happy to help them.”

Making a Difference! Carlos Perez, a Christian worker using GNPI materials in Puerto Rico, writes, “Last week I used the video Tough Choices in our school. I showed it to three groups. Oh boy, the students learned a lot! Many students said, ‘I will keep myself holy for my future spouse.’ I am thinking of using another GNPI video this week. Please pray for me; I really want to make a difference in the life of these students.”
