“Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 7:25
A Milestone! Jeff Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand writes, “The Solar Kit has reached a new milestone. The first system designed for this region is up and running. It includes the solar panel, junction board, battery, and television. The next step is finding a better lithium battery and replacing the wooden junction board with a lighter plastic or PVC board. The new system should be in the field within the next couple of months. There are a number of local and regional evangelists available to start testing the system. My biggest concern is good communication with the people using the new system. Feedback is difficult because geography hampers communication. Please pray for me to know how to refine the system.”
Signal Strength! Abi Flores of GNPI-Mexico writes, “Please pray for the trip of International Director Bob Sartoris as he visits the team in Pachuca this week. Pray also for the radio programming at www.buenasnuevasradio.com so more people can hear our transmission and the signal would improve. In addition, pray for the next short film project on anorexia. We are looking for people who will be involved during this filming, as well as in other projects.”
Historic Chaplain Training! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “Last month, we had another extremely joyful trip to a seminary, not far from Kiev, to contribute to the first-ever chaplains’ intensive training program. That was a really historical event, a sign of changes in the society. Even more than 20 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was no legal ground for pastoral ministry at places like jails, military bases, clinics, etc. Some brothers were doing this ministry anyway as volunteers, but they did not have proper rights and could be stopped at any moment or even persecuted for it. These people have faced challenges every day. They asked extremely meaningful questions that allowed us to dig into the Scriptures, looking for sound biblical answers together. Please pray with us for these guys working to bring the hope and comfort in Jesus to the hardest and hottest places!”
Thankful to Give! A couple from Springfield writes, “This is for the production of The Global Gospel. We are thankful to give!” With the help of partners like you, GNPI continues to work toward our goal of producing The Global Gospel in the world’s top 25 languages by the end of 2015.
Digesting the Truth! GNPI-SE Asia writes, “An evangelist visited our office and told us how he has been ministering in two prisons and four villages for 10 years. The evangelist said that in the past, he explained about God, but the people responded with silence. The evangelist said that when he used our charts and the Handbook for Evangelism, the hearts of people were touched significantly. The people accepted all he explained, and they are now digesting the Truth. We praise God that we were able to offer this evangelist some new books for his ministry.”
