Prayers & Praises
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5 (NIV)
Our Thanksgiving Message: TP of GNPI-SE Asia says, “Please pray that God would use our media to inspire the people of this region. We have finished producing our Thanksgiving message on DVD this week. Now we can distribute it among the churches. The DVD includes a lesson on why we should give thanks to God, as well as a testimony and choruses from praise songs.”
Helping Tibetan Students: KH, a Christian worker, shares how he used a Solar Kit to teach and encourage believers in China. KH says, “We have used the electricity powered version of the kit since May around the Shangri-la area. Most recently the kit allowed us to show some pictures for a discipleship retreat. A ministry partner is helping to prepare students for college by hosting an English camp as a way to raise support. We’ve been working predominantly with Tibetan students who wouldn’t have the means to go to college without some outside help. The kit is used to show parables, clips of the Jesus film, and the English teaching content already loaded on it.” Please pray God will continue to use GNPI tools to teach, encourage, and strengthen His Church around the world.
Finishing the Project: Abi Flores of GNPI-Mexico says, “We are editing The Shadow of Flowers film. Our goal is to finish the project before the end of December. Help us pray that this film does not have setbacks and can impact the lives of many people.”
One More Episode: Othaina Eid of GNPI-Uganda says, “We have one final episode to edit of the Life of Christ series. There will be a total of seven lessons. We will make copies and a workbook to accompany the series. Please pray for us to be able to hire a couple of new production assistants soon.”
Upcoming Training: Timothy Jai Kumar from the Nomad team in Chennai, India, says they appreciate their new equipment. They recently finished field production for three different projects on social issues in southern India and will begin editing the projects this week. They would like to produce two more stories before the end of the year. Scripts have been written, but they are waiting for their team members who are students to finish their exams before beginning production. The team is exploring the possibility of using the popular What’s App application to distribute their final videos. Join us in thanking God for helping this team to grow and flourish as they learn to share the Gospel in creative ways.
