About the Center: GNPI-Ukraine in Simferopol, Ukraine officially became the seventh regional center in 1999 with Sergei Golovin as the director. The staff of this center uses factual scientific issues to open the minds of Russian-speaking people to the truths of Christ. Many projects have been completed including video seminars, feature and popular science-based movies, audio programs, Public Service Announcements, dialog replacements, media production workshops like Media Challenge, etc. The popular six-part Science and the Bible video series, has been placed in hundreds of school libraries. (See samples of their work.) Sergei has an extensive background in geophysics and is a first-rate scientist. This background in the sciences has given him a burden for apologetics. His extensive education has given him the knowledge to tackle issues that communism has used to make Christianity seem illogical. Sergei is a brilliant apologist and the productions of GNPI-Ukraine reflect it.

It has been less than 20 years since the people of Ukraine, Russia, and Eastern Europe have been free from the oppressive thumb of communism, but the hopelessness that results from communism still lingers. One unique part of this ministry is the “mobile troops,” as Sergei has named them. They accelerate global evangelism by traveling in small teams to churches, universities, and other organizations. GNPI-produced materials that utilize science as the basis to prove the Bible to be true are the resources that enable them to make such a powerful impact.
