Giving Tuesday

Mike Schrage, Executive Director

I’m always shocked by how much money we spend this time of year. According to inc.com, you and I will be among those putting nearly a trillion dollars into the retail market before the end of the year. No, I’m not against sharing special times and gifts with our loved ones. I do, however, want to draw your attention to a special day GNPI hopes you will remember this year.

Giving Tuesday is a national movement that began in 2012 as a way to pause during our holiday shopping to remember organizations seeking to do good things in the world. At GNPI, we are trying to do the best possible job of sharing the love of Christ with people around the world through media.

Giving Tuesday is today! If you choose to participate, we’ll place your gift in The Well. This is a fund designed to help our production teams around the world respond quickly to project needs.

Before you get too far your shopping list, will you consider helping us to continue doing what we do? Gifts today will help us to produce more projects like these productions we’re currently working on:

  • The Problems of Samuel (GNPI-Kenya) – A Pokot video drama highlighting the
problems of sin in the life of believers and how, with Jesus’ help, people can be restored
    and renewed in their faith.
  • Sin Devolucion Una Historia de Suicidio (GNPI-Mexico) – This short film, No Returns
A Story About Suicide, discusses the issue of suicide among young people who are struggling to understand their place in life.
  • Worship the Lord of the Universe (GNPI-SE Asia) – A teaching video based on the
booklet “Ten Keys of Knowing the True God,” written for Buddhists to explain facts about
how God could be understood as the One True God of the universe and ultimately, as the only hope for eternal life.
  • Say it Forward (GNPI-Philippines) – A series of short video presentations that allows
respected, Christian professionals to bring their experience and perspective into a
discussion of relevant social topics which are affecting their communities. They offer a godly
perspective that can lead to positive change.

Each gift to Giving Tuesday will allow us to create more projects like these to accelerate global evangelism through media and technology.
