Fall 2015 Prayer Report
Thank you for praying for the ministry of GNPI. God has been working in each of the regional centers, and project NOMaD is growing also. We praise His name as we see His power around the world!
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. — 1 John 5:14
Agenda in Kenya! Isaac Masiga of GNPI-Kenya shares, “We are working on The Global Gospel in Swahili, a music duplication project for one ministry, and a promotional video on clean water for another ministry.” We praise God for the chance to serve Him in Africa for the last 20 years. Scouting Opportunities! Stephen Muturi, operations manager of GNPI-Uganda, writes, “Othaina and I recently came back from a trip to parts of northern Uganda and Nimule, South Sudan, where we captured testimonies on the impact of the Solar Kits on peoples’ lives in rural areas previously unreached. We were also able to scout the opportunities to spread the Gospel through media. We wish to express our appreciation for your continued support for the team in east Africa. Our work for the Kingdom would not be possible without your support, prayers, and encouragement.”
Youth Convention in Monterrey! Recently Gustavo Velázquez, regional director of GNPI-Mexico, was invited to a youth convention in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. More than 230 young people attended this event. Gustavo had the opportunity to share about the ministry and scope of the outreach through mass media. At the same time he encouraged the young people to serve the Lord through ministry and in their churches.
Humbled and Honored! Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines writes, “I am humbled, honored that the Lord answered our prayers beyond what we asked or imagined and that you find it worth your trouble to support our new series, Say It Forward. We are actually talking to four more Christian business people to feature. When we’re done we hope to have 36 episodes from six people (including our first two guests), enough to last for the rest of the year. Please pray that we can secure a venue we just found. It is accessible to most people by public transport, big enough for our needs, not expensive, and hopefully would be available for the days needed. Thanks so much for your trust and partnership in this work.”
Training Government Employees! Pong Dang of GNPI-SE Asia reports, “TP, our regional director, was recently invited to lead a training session specifically for government employees. He had the privilege of training employees on how to present the Gospel among Buddhists. About 80 government employees attended. Most of them were very happy and pleased with what he shared. They are very encouraged and confessed that their minds were opened for evangelism.”
A Stellar Job! Tom Silkwood, regional director of GNPI-Thailand, reports that they have been working on The Global Gospel in Thai. Tom writes, “Mr. Bee, our talent, did a stellar job, and all have agreed that the project was totally professional. Diction, pacing, and even multiple voices worked extremely well. We also concluded that we didn’t want to use DVDs as a means to distribute. It is quite amazing how quickly DVDs are falling out of favor here, and USB drives are at the front of the line. It is far more simple for us as well, and most new flat screen televisions have built-in media players.”
A Connection in the Parliament! Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine shares, “We have presented our newest book, The Bible and Politics, at one of the top (and oldest) universities in eastern Europe at a conference in Ostroh. The Lord has opened another door with the book as well. A brother in Christ, with a connection in parliament, has arranged to give it to several parliament members! What a great opportunity to impact the transforming society by making politicians aware of God’s guidance for all nations! Please pray with us for open minds and hearts to the Truth of the Scripture’s influence on them and through them!”
God Used Us to Bring Peace! Simmi Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, writes, “We recently had a chance to share the love of Christ and pray with one local family when they invited us to their home, and they asked so many questions. God has used us to bring peace into this family’s life. Pray that God will continue to use us, and pray that God will continue to reach our people. Things are progressing really well in these difficult times. We know that everything is in God’s control. In August we will be launching one of our song CDs.”
Progressing With Joy! Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, shares this update, “We are working on The Global Gospel in Napali. We have been recording some preachers giving sermons and loading them on SD cards to disperse. We continue to edit scripts for the family problems series. We have also distributed 25 new Solar Kits so far this year.”
Over-the-Moon Excited! Pam Ovwigho of Back to the Bible has helped coordinate the creation of the Grow2Go App in partnership with GNPI. Pam writes, “It was a pleasure meeting with you all, and I’m over-the-moon excited about partnering together to reach people around the world.” Please pray that many people of all ages will grow to know Christ better because of this new app. You can find the Grow2Go App at the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Witnessing the Wonderful Hand of God! Timothy Jai Kumar of the NOMaD team in Chennai, India, just returned from presenting NOMaD training to 16 young people in West Bengal. Timothy writes, “I am witnessing the wonderful hand of God. He is using us to reach these young people to give them a purpose and use their creativity and wisdom to glorify Him. I am thanking God for all His goodness.”
Exciting Progress! We are down to funding the last three languages as we work to produce The Global Gospel in the world’s top 25 languages! Praise God for His faithfulness and for the cooperation of many generous people. Pray we can also find a production partner to help with the Turkish language.
