The Power of a Share

Mike Schrage, Executive Director

In advertising, word of mouth is the power customers have to make or break a new restaurant. In today’s social media environment, the power of the “share” is just as influential. Watch this short video illustrating how you can like, comment, share, and donate.

The effort of a click is a moment of your time or a few dollars, but in the case of Dayita Patel the actions had our eternal impact. Thank God with us for the power and privilege He has given to us to share the Good News with people around the globe.

A Thrilling Outcome

Manee Massey, Regional Director of GNPI-Damoh, India

Our staff is thrilled and excited by the outcome of the 2017 Easter program! We enjoy connecting with those who contact us about our broadcasts on national television. These connections are more than just a follow-up strategy. Talking with these viewers about the Lord renews our purpose, energy, and heart for ministry.

Our program included songs and a Message of hope from the Word. We immediately began to follow-up on 500 calls from 20 states in India.

We had really good responses from people, and we prayed for the personal needs of many non-Christians. One person said the Message touched him deeply since he never understood the meaning of Easter before. We sent The Global Gospel to people in various languages to those who requested more videos and study questions about Jesus.

This year three billboards in town, social media, Facebook ads, as well as the word of mouth from our musicians and cast promoted the program to more viewers.

“Why”

Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda

Our new release is called the Why project. It’s a three-minute video about the consequences of not being sexually pure, and it is also available for WhatsApp users. We are getting a lot of encouraging feedback on social media with more than 20,000 views in a week and 64 comments asking questions, thanking us, or requesting more videos. Here are a few examples of the comments:

That is my question I ask every time to myself without answer.

We can learn from this lesson.

Great short film..keep them coming! #inspired

This video will be included on the Solar Kits we distribute from now on.

We are excited to harness the influence of social media for Kingdom purposes!

“From Words to Deeds”

Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico

From Words to Deeds is a new 10 video series about Christian people with a profession, office, or ministry of service to others. Each video is three minutes or less and based on 1 John 3:18, “. . . let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

The newest video in the series was made in partnership with the With My Hands deaf ministry. Our staff traveled to the city of Matamoros, Mexico, which is along the border of Brownsville, Texas, to begin several projects with Jesus and Michelle Zuniga. They have worked with the hearing impaired for more than 10 years and have a house where deaf ladies and children live. At their support school for the deaf they work with a group of more than 40 people, not only in learning sign language, but also in other areas such as basic education, the development of trades, and the presentation of the Gospel.

Jesus and Michelle have been closely involved with the lives of the deaf people and their families. The stories are heartbreaking with physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. However, God is using Jesus and Michelle to give hope and a better way of life to deaf people in Matamoros. They teach their students how to read using the Bible. Some have even met and married within the ministry. These students are integrating into society and the Church.

Prayers & Praises

“Never stop praying.” —1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NLT)

Bringing Awareness: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, writes, “For a few weeks, we hope to bring awareness to the delicate topic of the sexual abuse of children on our Say It Forward series. Our speaker, Ms. Glenda Resurreccion, talks about her experiences of pain and triumph. Her film finally came together revealing God’s purpose for her long journey.”

Addressing Real Issues: Protus Sibukule of Project Nomad-Eldoret, Kenya, says, “Our team recently completed a series of short films for youth teaching them to conduct themselves in a proper manner based on 1 Timothy 4:12. Pray for God to use this series to connect with people and address the real issues affecting our society.”

Creating Impactful Content: Charlene Winfield of Project Nomad-Johannesburg, South Africa, says, “We are currently working on our first short film that touches on God’s provision for His people. Another project is a teaching series encouraging people to get deeper into the Word. The third project is about pastors in rural areas which will create awareness of sound biblical teaching. Pray we can grow together as a team, create content that’s impactful and God-led, and see God working in our country and families.”

Preparing for Family Camp: Lena L. of GNPI-Eurasia says, “We are preparing for family camp this summer. Please pray for good weather, good health, and protection from the authorities. Pray for us to find more creative and like-minded Christian partners to work with in production and distribution as well.”

Learning and Growing: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “A couple teammates and I are taking part in an online media strategy lab. Please pray for us to have wisdom and to know the best ways to apply this training to our projects.”

Cristo Te Amamos (Jesus We Love You)

Habacuc Diaz, Team Leader for Project Nomad-Santiago, Chile

As we learn about music production, we are amazed to see how God is using these videos to encourage the local church and to spread the Message of Christ.

We are receiving great feedback from the online community and the local churches. Our hope is to inspire other Christian artists and musicians to glorify God by sharing their faith and talents.

Here are the lyrics:

Old things have passed away

Your love has stayed the same

Your constant grace remains the cornerstone

Things that we thought were dead

Are breathing in life again

You cause your Son to shine on darkest nights

For all that you’ve done we will pour out our love

This will be our anthem song

Jesus we love you

Oh how we love you

You are the one our hearts adore

Our hearts adore

The hopeless have found their hope

The orphans now have a home

All that was lost has found its place in you

You lift our weary head

You make us strong instead

You took these rags and made us beautiful

Our affection, our devotion

poured out on the feet of Jesus

Our affection, our devotion

poured out on the feet of Jesus

Our affection, our devotion

poured out on the feet of Jesus

Our affection, our devotion

poured out on the feet of Jesus

Reaching Out

Tom Ommemo of GNPI-Nairobi, Kenya

A small group of our office staff is reaching out to the nomadic Endorois community in northwestern Kenya. We were able to get permission from their chief to speak to the people, and we took them some food because they have been dealing with a severe famine.

We also shared some of our preaching materials and African dramas as well as the Jesus film. The first night 56 people came, and nearly 100 people came the second night. We plan to return soon and help them establish a church in this area. We are excited about what God is going to do to open doors for us to reach more people with the Gospel.

You Have Worth

Gayle Silkwood, Interim Director of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand

This is the powerful testimony of Noi, an impoverished orphan who tried to commit suicide several times.

She found love and fulfillment in Christ and learned to read, so she could read God’s Word. Noi later married and started a successful business.

Prayers & Praises

“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV)

Unifying Workers: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, “This week our second Project Nomad training takes place in the southern part of the Philippines. Pray the Lord will use this training to unify Christian workers in the area.”

Life Club Morning Show: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “The Lord keeps providing new opportunities for the ministry within our current conditions. We have started a new partnership with the Life Club Morning Show on Channel 5 television. The program is broadcast nationally and then made available online. The episode on the historical veracity of the Resurrection of Jesus received more than 38,500 views! The Lord gave us a commandment in Matthew 10:27,What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.’ Praise His name for technologies that provide the opportunity to carry out this commandment effectively!”

The Father’s Love: Timothy Jai Kumar of Project Nomad-Chennai, India, says, “We are currently working on a project called The Father’s Love. The script was written by one of our team members about the universal truth of the true love of God shown in Jesus. It’s a powerful script to use as a hook to get people to talk about meaning of the whole Message.”

Marriage Enrichment: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “We are working on a video series about marriage with Pecos and Lynda Inchaustegui. We have wanted to do this project for a long time. Please pray it will encourage and inspire many families with practical help.”

Gaining Momentum: GNPI and several partners are releasing the first two of 20 video stories on an app in Indonesia. The goal is to identify Muslim parents who are seekers and then lead them to become disciples, along with their children. Please lift up our ministry partners as they work together trusting God to overcome health challenges, give discernment for relating to young families, and provide the needed funds.
