Reaching Out

Tom Ommemo of GNPI-Nairobi, Kenya

A small group of our office staff is reaching out to the nomadic Endorois community in northwestern Kenya. We were able to get permission from their chief to speak to the people, and we took them some food because they have been dealing with a severe famine.

We also shared some of our preaching materials and African dramas as well as the Jesus film. The first night 56 people came, and nearly 100 people came the second night. We plan to return soon and help them establish a church in this area. We are excited about what God is going to do to open doors for us to reach more people with the Gospel.

You Have Worth

Gayle Silkwood, Interim Director of GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand

This is the powerful testimony of Noi, an impoverished orphan who tried to commit suicide several times.

She found love and fulfillment in Christ and learned to read, so she could read God’s Word. Noi later married and started a successful business.

Prayers & Praises

“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV)

Unifying Workers: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, “This week our second Project Nomad training takes place in the southern part of the Philippines. Pray the Lord will use this training to unify Christian workers in the area.”

Life Club Morning Show: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “The Lord keeps providing new opportunities for the ministry within our current conditions. We have started a new partnership with the Life Club Morning Show on Channel 5 television. The program is broadcast nationally and then made available online. The episode on the historical veracity of the Resurrection of Jesus received more than 38,500 views! The Lord gave us a commandment in Matthew 10:27,What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.’ Praise His name for technologies that provide the opportunity to carry out this commandment effectively!”

The Father’s Love: Timothy Jai Kumar of Project Nomad-Chennai, India, says, “We are currently working on a project called The Father’s Love. The script was written by one of our team members about the universal truth of the true love of God shown in Jesus. It’s a powerful script to use as a hook to get people to talk about meaning of the whole Message.”

Marriage Enrichment: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “We are working on a video series about marriage with Pecos and Lynda Inchaustegui. We have wanted to do this project for a long time. Please pray it will encourage and inspire many families with practical help.”

Gaining Momentum: GNPI and several partners are releasing the first two of 20 video stories on an app in Indonesia. The goal is to identify Muslim parents who are seekers and then lead them to become disciples, along with their children. Please lift up our ministry partners as they work together trusting God to overcome health challenges, give discernment for relating to young families, and provide the needed funds.

From Cattle Rustler to Christ’s Ambassador

Protus Sibukule of Project Nomad-Eldoret, Kenya

Six years ago, Mudang was well known and feared by his fellow villagers because he was their leader. Mudang was mostly a negative influence. He recruited and trained young men who were involved in cattle rustling as well as shedding innocent blood in neighboring communities.

One day while showing Christian films in the Tiling’wa village in the East Pokot district, Mudang happened to be among the viewers. That day we showed the Shida Ya Samweli film. Mudang was touched, and it was a turning point in his life. He confessed his wrongdoing and asked for amnesty as he was a wanted man from the Rift Valley provincial administration. We prayed for him, and pointed him to Christ Jesus. He was baptized and became a regular member of Chebelion Church of Christ.

Since then, Mudang has continued to love the Word of God and the church. He has been instrumental in helping us with evangelism in the whole region of East Pokot. We have seen Mudang grow from a terrorist to a humble, caring, and loving disciple of Jesus Christ. Indeed, God has continued to restore hope in Mudang’s life. He is now a living example to many Pokots. Praise Jesus!

The local church initiated some small projects for the reformed cattle rustlers, including Mudang. They have purchased 20 goats, and Mudang was given 10 goats to raise. Through this project, Mudang has improved in his walk with the Lord. They intend to do more as God enables them with resources. When I visited Mudang recently, his goats have increased to 15 in number, and he is so grateful to God.

Learn From Me

The Project Nomad-Johannesburg, South Africa, team created this video to address the issue of teen pregnancy in South Africa. Many young girls become mothers at an early age, and some abandon their babies. The following video tells of a story of a young woman who chose a different route.

The team also provided local contact information for those who might need help with a pregnancy, baby, child, or have questions regarding their options.

Like a Hammer

Mike Schrage, Executive Director

Steve White is the senior minister at Plainfield Christian Church, in Plainfield, Indiana. He offered these challenging words after attending Vision Night and hearing the inspiring presentation of Isaac Masiga, guest speaker and regional director from Nairobi, Kenya.

Jeremiah 23:29 says, “Is not my word . . . like a hammer . . .” GNPI wants to share the powerful Gospel with people around the world using media and technology.

Steve’s right when he said that media, like a hammer, is a tool that can be used for good or evil. We could not use the goodness of the tool of media effectively without the passionate provisions from congregations like Plainfield Christian Church and leaders like Steve White.

Prayers & Praises

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

New Angle Media Momentum: Work on the New Angle Media Project is progressing. Pray for the animation team to work efficiently and creatively on the remaining 19 stories. Pray for the app team as they improve the user interface and app navigation, as well as the data collection components. Pray this project will please God and produce great fruit!

Why: Stephen Muturi of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda, writes, “The Why project was released. It’s a three-minute video about sexual purity and is also available on WhatsApp. We are receiving a lot of encouraging feedback on social media. This video will be included on our Solar Kits going forward.”

New School: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for my health condition. I am practically back to normal and even enjoying teaching invitations if they don’t require a long periods of time or long travel distances. The most exciting news we heard recently was from a group of students in Moldova who completed our training have now started a missionary school in their own country. Praise the Lord! Please pray with us for the school’s development, growth, and expansion for the greater glory of the Kingdom!

One Hundred Episodes: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, writes, “Praise the Lord with us! Over the last five months we have produced 100 episodes of Faith Matters, too! These three minute devotions are aimed at helping busy, young professionals to start, or end, their day with some much needed quiet time. Topics range from the importance of personal reflection, family relationships, conflict, camaraderie, the importance of Sabbath rest, and more. Click here to learn more about this series.”

Punjabi Update: Manee Massey of GNPI-Damoh, India, writes, “We have been encouraged by the responses to our nationally televised Easter broadcast. Now as people receive their requested copies of The Global Gospel (TGG), we pray the programs will speak to them about the life of Christ. We are also updating TGG in Punjabi for future distribution.”

Haciendo A Cristo Conocido (Making Christ Known)

Habacuc Diaz, Team Leader of Project Nomad-Santiago, Chile

I’m excited about what God is doing. We are investing our time in worship music for churches by working with local artists. We also produce micro documentaries on social issues to assist groups who are helping homeless people in our city. In addition, we create resources to help teach the Bible in area congregations.

We are pleased to release another music video. The lyrics are very meaningful.

VERSE
In the forgotten villages, lost are still
Those who one day before the throne
They will love you
Unconscious and blind of eternity
Live dead, separated captives are

CHORUS
Making Christ known in every people and nation
They are millions who do not know of your great love
And You call us to the fields where no one heard of You
Raise us, Lord, to your mission

INTERLUDE
You are the King of them too
Your death was also for them
They are your loved ones and they do not know it
May their lips confess the Lord

Overcoming Adversity

Our Project Nomad-Pachuca, Mexico, team is producing a variety of practical teaching videos to offer encouragement and hope. The following video is one of their latest releases.

The video explains how important it is to be resilient through the problems of life. Job is used as an example because of the way he overcame harsh adversity in his own life. In order to grow we need to be able to resist, adapt, and recover after facing struggles of all kinds. God’s Word gives us the tools we need, and our relationship with Him provides hope for our souls.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
                                                — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Sharing Jesus

Isaac Masiga, Regional Director of GNPI-Nairobi, Kenya

Our office is a place of ministry, healing, and resources. We thank God for the opportunities we have at this time. I’d like to offer encouragement to the whole body of Christ. We need to wake up and realize we don’t have the luxury of time.
