Facing the Dangers of Pornography

Protus Sibukule of Project Nomad-Eldoret, Kenya

It was a blessing to travel to Nairobi during the summer for the Project Nomad regional training.

We are excited to produce more videos for the people of the Pokot tribe in their own language, so biblical teaching is easier for them to understand. The videos we’ve produced for this people group are not only watched, but the Lord uses the videos to inspire change in the hearts of those who watch them.

Our newest project is a 25-minute video on the dangers of pornography.

We are also working on a series for youth based on 1 Timothy 4:12 to address the issues of faith, love, purity, and speech. Pray these resources will challenge people to walk more closely with the Lord.

Prayers & Praises

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”— John 6:68-69 (NIV)

Last Piece of the Puzzle: Praise the Lord! Project Nomad Coordinator Mark Allen reports that 24 Christian workers participated in the regional media training in Togo. Kpowbie Daniel, a ministry partner from Community Health Education and organizer of the event said, “I think this training is going to bring a tremendous change in the way we have been working for the Lord. I think everyone was waiting for this. It was like the last piece of the puzzle.”

New Radio Programs: Gustavo Velázquez of GNPI-Piedras Negras, Mexico, writes, “We want to add another live program before the end of the year. Pray for our new live radio program ‘Good Evening with Gustavo’ as well. Our goal is to build relationships with the audience and interact with them more meaningfully. We think these live programs will help a lot.”

A Warm Welcome: Isaac Masiga of GNPI-Nairobi, Kenya, writes, “A couple of our coworkers travelled seven hours to survey the needs and culture of the Endorois people, a minority group in western Kenya. We want to learn the best ways to share the Gospel with them. The poverty these people face doesn’t diminish their welcoming hospitality. Please pray we can continue to build good relationships with this group.”

Making Our Resources Available: Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Eurasia writes, “Until the situation changes (and it will change eventually), the Crimean team is doing their best to use human resources, equipment, and facilities to provide media production and Internet resources. The mainland team (scattered in four cities) focuses on content development, teaching, training, publishing, and distribution of our resources. We have increased the number of Internet platforms for our resources to make them available in even the most restricted areas.”

Nuggets of Wisdom: Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Manila, Philippines, says, “We are starting a new ‘Career or Calling’ segment in our Say It Forward series with Mr. Caloy Magsakay Diño. Pray that Filipinos of all ages will find a nugget of godly wisdom from his words about the purpose of life.”

Sharing the Blessings

Alan Wan, one of our newest staff members, is originally from China. He is passionate about sharing the blessings of God with people who have not heard about Him.

Alan explains how you can get involved with GNPI.

A Stitch in Time

Stephen Muturi, Operations Manager of GNPI-Mbale, Uganda

Blessings from Mbale, Uganda! The Lord is growing the ministry here.

This map represents the location of our Solar Kits currently. The requests from evangelists for more Solar Kits are increasing.

The Kampala Church of Christ leadership has expressed interest in our proposal to use their church as a DVD distribution point. This is a good starting place for our plans.

We produced this video to help some ministry partners celebrate the dedication of a new facility.

We are excited to report that all seven episodes of the Life Of Christ (LOC) series is on their vimeo channel as well.

It is our hope to reach more people, far and wide, as we accomplish our mission of accelerating global evangelism through media and technology.

Harnessing Tools of Technology

Mike Schrage, Executive Director

During our 40th anniversary year, we’ve been sharing some favorite photos and video clips from our archives. On this video our founder Ziden Nutt recalls how GNPI recognized and applied various techniques that not only attracted attention to the Gospel but also caused effective learning. GNPI started with filmstrips and has used many different tools through the years, including Internet technology.

Next month we will talk about how the regional centers increased our opportunity to redeem the time.

Time to Reflect

Nenette Pacoli, Regional Director of GNPI-Manila, Philippines

The chairman of our board, Pastor Efren Nola, called me recently and said, “I feel like I’ve just been touched by the Lord to share about the ministry of GNPI.” I wanted to set it aside for a little while because I had a few meetings lined up. As a result I had no peace, so I immediately scheduled a time to record his testimony.

Pastor Efren said he is so thankful to the Lord for the privilege of serving GNPI, even though it is a challenge for him!

From a Drug Addict to a Christian Teacher

Our ministry partners at GNPI-Chiang Mai, Thailand, have released a new testimony about a life transformed by the love of Christ.

A Thai man shares how God gave him hope, value, and help in overcoming a drug addiction. He encourages others saying, “Believe me! God can change your life if you will accept Him and submit to Him.”
