Prayers & Praises

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.” – Psalm 96:3-4

“An Excellent Assistance!”
A brother in India writes, “The Solar Kit provides an excellent assistance while preaching the Gospel. People comprehend better with live demonstrations and illustrations. Especially the children tend to be eager to unfold what the team has in store for them. In one meeting, an entire family accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and wanted to be baptized. Despite of all odds, the team is relentless to go ahead each day to preach to different people to hasten the Kingdom of God. Thank you for your love, concern, and support to carry on The Great Commission that Jesus has commanded us to carry forward.”

“Our Journey of Media!”
T.P. of GNPI-S.E. Asia writes about his coworker who was traveling in August and September, “G.P. trained 12 people for more than a month for six hours a day. Now these people are gathering footage from the fields, and G.P. is back home. We just started to train young people to work with us to cover the next generations in seven divisions and seven states of this country by the Word of God. It is the starting point of our journey of media. Next year we will train some in another state.”

“I thank the Lord!”
Nenette Pacoli of GNPI-Philippines shares, “Every day, I thank the Lord for the good health I continue to enjoy, which enables me to scramble this way and that. That is a big thanksgiving for me. I get a lot of teasing in church about my cooking skills, or the utter lack of them, but I really thank the Lord, too, for all the other gifts that I have. That goes for the rest of the team here. Technically, there are just three of us on a full-time basis, but that will be increasing to four if the scriptwriter delivers as expected. I thank the Lord for each one of them, for their dedication, commitment, and creativity.”

Making Connections!
Vince Vigil of GNPI-Uganda writes, “We are starting auditions for the Luganda version of The Global Gospel. Please be praying for God to be in this process and for us to find the right person.” Pray for Vince and Joy and their two young children in preparation for their trip to the U.S. this week for their furlough.

“An important part of God’s work!”
One of our prayer partners from Indiana writes, “Thank you so much for keeping me on the prayer list. It is so great to feel like I am a part of the work by praying for all the needs around the world. As an older and less physically able person, I do what I can, but knowing I can always pray lets me know I am still an important part of God’s work. May God bless all the efforts of GNPI and all those associated with this great work.”

Prayers & Praises

“Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.” – John 11:41

Surpassing the Solar Kit Goal!
A friend of the ministry from Kansas sent this note with her recent gift, “This is for a Solar Kit! We have wanted to do this for a long time. We are praying for the people who will use this and the people who will see the movies!” Thanks to individuals like this one, GNPI has reached the goal! We have received funds for 111 Solar Kits already this year. Thank you to everyone who helped us. The Solar Kits are going out to help Christian workers all over the world.

“Thank you for praying!”
International Director Bob Sartoris shares an answer to prayer. Bob says, “We finally received the paperwork yesterday to finalize an agreement with Biblica for the use of four translations of the Bible for The Global Gospel . This one contract will allow us to move forward with the Arabic, Kiswahili, Thai, and Tagalog versions for north Africa, east Africa, Thailand, and the Philippines. Now join in praying that these versions will go out with power and impact in the world as the story of Christ is shared through this project!”

“Truly Exciting News!”
Lena of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “The music video, All Creatures of Our God and King (Click here to watch), won second place in the “Best Music Video” category! Our ministry was invited to take part in the first international Christian film festival The Light that took place in Kiev in the last few days of September. The festival brought together representatives from more than 30 Christian video production studios from Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, Iraq, Iran, and the United States. Local TV channels will broadcast the awarded projects. Praised be the Lord!”

Suitcases for the Silkwoods!
Tom Silkwood of GNPI-Thailand writes, “We are doing well. Right now Gayle and I are in Wyoming and getting ready to show our film, The Bridge, tonight. Then we are off to Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri. My blood pressure is much better and I’m feeling pretty good. Our houses are being shown back east. We pray that they will sell. Please continue to pray for good contacts and for good partnerships for ministry. Thanks for your prayers.”

Deepak Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, communicated to Director of Operations Tom Nutt, “Thanks for connecting me with this young man, M. At first I was very hesitant to meet him. After some of our GNPI staff met and prayed with him, it looks like there might be some doors opening for us to share the Gospel through DVD using the The Global Gospel through this young man into the most dangerous area of India.” These days we are very careful and don’t want a terrorist to come and sneak into our church, as we live in a dangerous zone. Recently there was an attack in a church on the Pakistan side where hundreds of Christians were killed. Continue to pray for me and our staff to have God’s wisdom and His leading to help this young man in his relationship with Christ.”

Permission Requested, Permission Granted

b_PermissionGrantedTo continue producing The Global Gospel in the world’s top 25 languages by 2015, we are constantly praying that permission for the “next” language will be granted.

Producing a new language is not as simple as just raising the funds to pay an actor and doing the recording and required editing and post-production work. Since each version of The Global Gospel comes straight from Scripture, we must get copyright permission to use the particular Bible version and translation required for each language.

Some have come easily and some, well, let’s just say the Lord has taught us that patience is a virtue. In October, after a long period of waiting, we received paperwork to finalize an agreement with Biblica, a worldwide publisher that holds the copyright for many language translations of the Bible.

GNPI is thankful for its partnership with Biblica, which conducts its ministry through partnerships in 71 countries. Biblica is currently working on 35 translations projects in 34 countries.

The contract with Biblica will allow GNPI to move forward with four key languages for The Global Gospel: the Arabic, Kiswahili, Thai and Tagalog versions for North Africa, East Africa, Thailand and the Philippines. These languages alone will allow GNPI to reach more than 370 million people with the life of Christ.

Thank you for praying for the continued spread of The Global Gospel. Pray that these and future productions will go out with POWER to IMPACT the world through the story of Christ!

Prayers & Praises

“Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God.” – Psalm 38:15

“Relevant Work in Kenya!”
A minister in Rockford, IL, responds to GNPI’s special prayer requests for Kenya last week, “How relevant the work of God’s people is through GNPI in Kenya today. We pray for that nation and especially for Christians there who have become the targets of hateful action. Keep up the good work!” Thank you for praying and partnering with us to reach the world for Christ.

“An Incredible Trip!”
David Lall of GNPI-Damoh, India, spoke to the staff in Joplin by Facetime a couple weeks ago. David said, “We are having a wonderful time, very productive, good meetings. It is really a blessing to be around the same table. Thank you very much for sending Executive Director Mike Schrage and International Director Bob Sartoris.” After returning Mike Schrage reported, “Bob and I had an incredible trip. It was helpful and fruitful in many ways for strategic planning and outreach to India. In doing a checklist with David, I noted 16 items of progress.”

“My heart fills with joy and praises!”
Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine shares, “The Multi-Purpose Resource Center construction is going on according to the plan so far. Every time I visit the construction site my heart fills with joy and praises! This is very exciting to see the changes! We are about to raise pillars of the third floor of the retreat house. Our goal is to complete that part of the complex by the end of the year. Nevertheless, we have also poured the first floor straining beams for the conference building. This will allow us to go ahead with its construction without returning to the ground level work as soon as the funds are available. Please join our praises to the One who has provided the opportunity to start this great project, and pray that He will carry it on to completion for the glory of Christ Jesus!”

A Key Project!
T.P. of GNPI-SE Asia writes, “Pray the team can complete the audio and print for the Ten Key Facts of Knowing the True and Living God as soon as possible. It is a very important project for the Buddhist world, and we have found a new narrator for it.”

Raziel’s Story of Redemption!
The staff members at GNPI-Mexico are working on a new short film about the way God can redeem and transform the life of a down-and-out addict. Raziel’s powerful testimony will demonstrate the dangers, attitudes, circumstances, and consequences of such a life. Regional Director Gustavo Velázquez says, “Our prayer is that it will help others with similar stories.”

Prayers & Praises

“Constant prayer was offered to God for [Peter] by the church.” – Psalm 38:15

Monday Meetings With Momentum!
NOMaD Coordinator Jason Miller reports, “I just completed the first session of virtual training with the team in Chile this morning. It went really well, and I’m looking forward to working through the new project-based program with them. We will be connecting every Monday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. (at least until the time changes).”

Repairs and Restoration!
Deepak Dhingra of GNPI-Chandigarh, India, shares, “We have good news. One of the church buildings in the area has been repaired! It was badly damaged in the floods in June 2013. The labor was done totally by the local congregation. The mud is gone, building is repaired, painting is complete, and the worship area is restored.”

Cheerleaders for the Kingdom!
Friends of the ministry thank Executive Director Mike Schrage for his note of gratitude to them. This ministry partner says, “You people are so appreciative of every little bit we can send. Keep up the good work. Two of your cheerleaders in Indiana!” GNPI staff members are very grateful for each ministry partner who helps accelerate global evangelism through media.

Solar Kits to Sudan!
Eddie Gonzalez, serving as a missionary in southern Sudan received two Solar Kits from GNPI-Mbale recently. Eddie expressed his gratitude and excitement that God is using these Solar Kits to make an impact. Eddie says, “This has been a huge blessing for our ministry. Many people have been asking to have the films shown in their area. Thank you.”

Open Enrollment!
Sergei Golovin of GNPI-Ukraine writes, “We were glad to meet a young man who is highly interested in starting a creation evangelism ministry in a region that is new for us. We have invited the man to join the FD-222 project (FD stands for Faith Defender, 222 – for 2 Timothy 2:2). It is our most effective young leaders training program. We have decided to offer it every other year. Now we are starting the new applicant enrollment. Please pray the Lord will bring the right people.”
