Roe vs. Wade: a very famous decision regarding the issue of abortion, at least in the United States. Right now in Chile the Senate is debating this very issue. Chilean abortion law is among the most restrictive in all of the world, illegal without exception.
While lawmakers in Chile are considering the legalization of therapeutic abortion, Habacuc Diaz and our NOMaD team in Santiago have partnered with a pro-life ministry and have developed ¿Sabías Qué? (Did You Know?)—a Website, series of videos, and a Facebook page. The slogan for ¿Sabías Qué? is “Infórmate para decidir,” meaning, “Inform yourself before deciding.”
This video, created by NOMaD team leader Habacuc, shows clips from interviews and testimonies conducted with women who have all had first-hand, practical experience with abortion. Each woman will have her own video and blog post on the site.
We are proud of this young team for the stand they are taking, and we think thy have done a fabulous job on this video!
Even if you don’t understand Spanish, please watch the video and say a prayer for this team and for the country of Chile.
As God used the Tough Choices film to make an impact on Kenyan legislation several years ago, may God bless this project in taking a stand for the unborn in South America.
