About the Center: Located near the center of the world's second most populated country, this regional center was the first for Good News Productions, International. It opened its doors in partnership with Mid-India Christian Mission in 1989. This center is communicating the Gospel to the people of India in a variety of exciting ways including teaching videos for use in home churches—common places of worship in that region of the world. Literally hundreds of house churches use these videos for their regular teaching and preaching programs, yet Christians are less than two percent of the population.

Dramas showing the life of Christ through paraphrased Indian parables and audio and video productions for youth are just a few of the projects produced by an all Indian staff. Some of these productions have been aired on Doordarshan, the national TV station. After realizing the quality of the productions done by GNPI-Damoh, India, Doordarshan requested that they produce a program that addressed drug and alcohol problems among Indian young people. The station was so impressed that it was aired on Gandhi’s birthday, a national holiday in India. Literally millions of people watched this program, and the response was so great that the review committee of Doordarshan asked GNPI to do 26 programs dedicated to issues that young people deal with. Today these programs have been aired on national TV, and are just one example of the many productions from the Damoh center.
