If you talk to someone who lived in the former Soviet Union, they can tell stories of things that were part of daily life for them that would seem very harsh by some standards; stories of poverty, stories of sickness, stories of survival.
But mixed in with those stories, they could also tell you that education was very important. Willpower and strength of mind were taught to children and expectations were high. Some of the world’s most brilliant scientists, politicians, and self-disciplined athletes have come from the former Soviet Union. For this reason, GNPI-Ukraine has achieved positive results as the Holy Spirit has lead them in teaching the Gospel, using a unique balance of artistic creativity and scientific evidence.
Walking Through The Past is a teaching program that will present the viewer with scientific truth that supports creation. “Stones and bones” from a paleontology museum along with live zoo animals and “man on the street” interviews frame the subject, creation versus evolution.
Sergei Golovin, regional director for GNPI-Ukraine, was able to obtain permission to film exhibitions located at the Moscow Paleontology Museum to be used in this program. The museum opened all the displays and allowed the crew to shoot anything they wanted. One exciting tidbit of information to note is that this museum is very well known worldwide among the scientific community, and the geological exhibit is dedicated to upholding evolution. But, what was meant for evil, God is using for good. Walking Through The Past will use those exhibits to prove creation and the accuracy of the Bible!
