MEDIA MOTIVATES AND MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Felipe Recio just wants an opportunity to teach the word of God. He is not on staff with GNPI, nor is he an official volunteer, but he is convinced of the power of media. Now in his seventies, Felipe has been traveling for 32 years all over Mexico, evangelizing in 28 of the 33 states. Felipe’s ministry has been to show 16mm films to draw an audience and then take the opportunity to share the Gospel. In parks, churches, houses—anywhere he gets an opportunity, he is using media to open the door to people’s hearts. When Brother Felipe discovered the materials produced by Good News Productions, International he was thrilled! Having access to materials written, designed, and produced with his specific culture in mind made his job much easier. The crew at GNPI-Mexico has helped Brother Felipe get set up with materials and a video projector to help make him more effective as he continues to proclaim the Good News throughout Mexico. Eight years ago, Juan Manuel and Felipe met when Felipe was showing La Ultima Oración (produced by GNPI) near a town called Acuña. Juan was not a Christian at the time. Here is Juan’s paraphrased testimony: "The movie was a huge impact on my life and caused me to reflect upon the life I was living. I was in a gang and on drugs. I love this movie because it moved me to inquire more about the Lord Jesus and led me to surrender my life to him. As I grew in the Lord, I decided to go into ministry and have now started a congregation. Every chance I get I try to help Brother Recio in his ministry, because I know God uses these movies to bring people unto Himself. I want to join Brother Recio on his next big trip. I encourage you (GNPI) to continue to produce more material.”
