Nenette Pacoli was born and raised in a remote province just north of Manila, Philippines. She attended the University of the Philippines, where she majored in broadcast communications. Nenette and her husband, Bert, have three children: Naomi, Jireh, and Albert. Bert is a Vice President in the transformer manufacturing company he works for and serves as an elder in their church.
Nenette learned the basics of production when she worked as a student in a commercial television station in Manila. Through the years, she further honed her skills in production through various other jobs, including an advertising agency and later in other media outfits. While she was rising through the ranks professionally, Nenette realized her need for a greater fulfillment in life. In 1980, she returned to the faith of her youth and rededicated her life to the Lord.
While working in a government agency, Nenette prayed for opportunities to use her skills and talents in a ministry for the Lord. God began answering this prayer in 1990 when an American missionary friend introduced her to Rich Sheeley, who had just come in from Singapore. Initially, they worked on some video productions, and in 1994, they began producing a weekly Bible-based teaching program called Asin at Ilaw (Salt and Light). In 1999, Nenette retired from her previous job and accepted the role of regional director for GNPI.
