X-Treme Teenz TV Club (XTTV) is a club founded by Tom and Gayle Silkwood and Renee Weygandt for the purpose of mentoring our kids in a godly life-style. (Tom is the regional director for the GNPI center in Thailand.)
“It was noticed that the youth culture we have today had introduced many negative influences on kids. The team decided to become pro-active in doing something about it by influencing these kids BEFORE they got into trouble, and thus X-Treme Teenz TV Club was born,” Tom shared.
The most recent project this group of talented kids has been working on is called Waves of Mercy. It is a fifteen-minute video about Art Sanborn. Art served as a missionary in Chiangmai, Thailand. Several years ago, Art was in a surfing accident and broke his neck, making him a quadriplegic. Waves of Mercy is the story of the accident and what happened afterwards. By God’s grace, Art began regaining feeling, and is now a “running miracle,” as he runs six miles a day!
Since video production is a very team oriented process the kids learn mutual respect for each other and how to work together.
Tom said,
“They are a great bunch. Without a doubt they will do mighty things for God’s Kingdom!”
