Prayer
"On him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many." 2Cor 1:10b-11 NIV
Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for the ministry of Good News Productions, International. We covet your prayers for the following prayer needs of our regional centers around the world.

Prayer Needs - Chandigarh, India
- Please pray for Regional Director Deepak Dhingra as he continues to effectively reach his Punjabi community with the Word of God. Pray that the audiotapes (both music and teaching) being recorded will impact the hearts of those who listen.
- Praise God for the local Christian leaders who gathered to meet with Deepak Dhingra, David Lall, and Rich Sheeley to evaluate what media tools are most needed to help reach and teach those in the Punjabi region.
Prayer Needs - Chennai, India
- Pray for Continental Director David Lall as he guides the Chennai team in developing audio outreach tools that share the Gospel.
Prayer Needs - Damoh, India
- Praise God for the many new believers, and pray for their growth in the Lord. Pray that weekly video and DVD lessons shared by church leaders will help them mature in their faith.
- Ask God to bless the Damoh team as they continue to develop evangelistic and discipleship productions.
Prayer Needs - Nairobi, Kenya
- Praise the Lord that, thankfully, people are being repatriated after months of bloodshed and tension following the successful formation of the coalition government in Kenya. Continue to pray for peace in this East African nation.
- Praise God that the completion of the Video II Loop Project is near. It will be used as a discipleship tool in hundreds of classrooms in Kenya. The doors of opportunity are open in many Kenyan high school classrooms with opportunities to share the Christian faith with students through Christian religion education classes that encourage Bible studies and prayer!
Prayer Needs - Piedras Negras, Mexico
- Praise God for the impact La Ultima Oración has had on the life of Juan. Juan shared that when Brother Felipe Recio showed this film near his home, it had a huge impact on his life. He was in a gang and on drugs. Juan loved this movie because it moved him to inquire more about the Lord Jesus and led him to surrender his life to Jesus. Juan now serves as a minister in a local congregation. Felipe Recio still travels throughout Mexico using GNPI movies as an outreach tool.
- Pray for the editing of both a drama and a documentary that looks at the impact drugs and alcohol have on the Hispanic culture and challenges Christians to reach out to individuals dealing with addictions.
Prayer Needs - Manila, Philippines
- Pray for Nenette Pacoli and her team as they continue producing the weekly-televised Bible Study Asin at Ilaw. Pray for creativity. Pray that the Bible studies will challenge viewers to follow Christ in all ways.
- Lift before the Lord the video drama All Things New that depicts the impact of Christian discipleship on the lives of street children. Pray that it will move the audience to live life in the realization that each individual is precious in God’s sight—including street children.
Prayer Needs - Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Pray for members of the Thailand team that are participating in special video training in Bangkok this month. Also, the Thai subtitling for the Vietnamese film The Bridge is completed. It will be proofed once more before being duplicated in mass.
- GNPI-Thailand’s Xtreme Teen TV group that has been working with regional director Tom Silkwood finished Waves of Mercy, a DVD about the life of missionary Art Sanborn. Nine years ago, Art Sanborn broke his C3 and C4 vertebrae making him a quadriplegic. Art has only regained feeling in the past few years and now runs six miles a day. This major project produced by the teen group is currently being duplicated in-house.
Prayer Needs - Simferopol, Ukraine
- Rejoice with us over the recent release of several projects. Two key documentaries released were the Russian dubbing of A Doctor Looks at the Crucifixion and Resurrection, as well as Evidences of the Flood at Msta River documentaries.
- A group of young Christian leaders from Byelorussia, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, came to the Crimea area of Ukraine for the first ever leaders’ Media Challenge workshop on using video as an effective tool for evangelism and discipleship. Pray for this group of 16 Christian leaders as they apply what they learned to reach their homeland with the message of Jesus.
Prayer Needs - Joplin, Missouri (USA)
- Remember Vince and Joy Vigil, recent graduates of Ozark Christian College, as they make preparations for ministry partnership with Good News Productions, International in the emerging work in Mbale, Uganda.
- Lift before the Lord the regional directors, some of whom serve the Lord in locations where governments are not friendly to Christians. Pray for boldness and courage in the midst of very challenging circumstances.
- Pray for peace in Sudan and for wisdom as research continues by GNPI staff on what possible productions could one day be made for this war-torn country.
Prayer Needs - Youth
- Please pray for the following Media Challenge workshops:
July 20-26 in Zakosciele, Poland
July 28-August 2 in Tomaszow, Poland
August 10-16 in Boise, ID at Boise Bible College
Continue to pray that God will draw the exact group of people whom He wants to challenge to use their talent to share the Gospel through visual media.
- Praise God for the successful workshops held in Ukraine during April. One was for Christian leaders in the region and the other was for youth in Ukraine. The adult leaders workshop was created because of their high interest level as the impact of media designed for evangelism was seen as strategic. Pray that the lessons shared in both workshops will enable those who attended find new avenues of sharing their faith through media.
