Maya se pierde is the story of how Maya and her friend, Bibi, get so caught up in exploring a path they find in the woods, that they are soon lost and afraid. They find a big house and hope they will find someone to help them get home. After knocking on the door, they discover it is open. Once inside the house, Maya starts to hear noises. Maya believes there is a monster in the house and becomes very, very afraid!
Eventually, Maya figures out what the noises are, and she is reminded that God is everywhere - so she is never alone. Maya and Bibi get some help in finding their way back home and they learn the lesson that there is never anything to fear when God is with you.
