Deepak and Simmi Dingrah are both native to Punjab, India, and oversee the regional center in Chandigarh, India. Deepak, regional director, was raised in a Hindu family and Simmi’s family is Sikh. This makes them an ideal couple to lead this center in the Punjab region, which is predominantly Hindu and Sikh. Deepak gave his life to Christ after graduating from college.   Read More...

The Christian Elementary School was started in 2004 and has 120 children enrolled. These children are from the poorest of poor backgrounds. This is both a Hindi medium school and an English medium school K to 12. 99% of these children are from Hindu and Sikh backgrounds.   Read More...

On May 17, 2006, Good News Productions, International dedicated a third regional center in India. The celebration brought approximately 150 people from four countries and seven major language groups, including Hindi, Telegu, Tamil, Cannara, and Malayalam. At least five well-known Indian Christians involved in composing and recording music for the Tamil movie industry were there.   Read More...

At the request of Doordarshan (the national TV station in India) Good News Productions, International in Damoh, India produced a program that addressed drug and alcohol problems among Indian young people. Cómo Escapar de las Garras del Yurumí written by Fernando Soto (How To Escape the Anteater's Claws) is a book that GNPI-Mexico recorded into an audio book. This book is an allegory of Satan who comes to kill, steal, and destroy just like an anteater. The audio book CD accelerated the evangelism of one family by helping a man understand his need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.   Read More...

Felipe Recio just wants an opportunity to teach the word of God. He is not on staff with GNPI, nor is he an official volunteer, but he is convinced of the power of media. Now in his seventies, Felipe has been traveling for 32 years all over Mexico, evangelizing in 28 of the 33 states. Felipe’s ministry has been to show 16mm films to draw an audience and then take the opportunity to share the Gospel.   Read More...

Culturally appropriate material is the bottom line for any GNPI project. Concepts that work in one culture won’t work in another. Problems one culture deals with, another doesn’t. But, the problem of addiction blurs the lines separating one culture from another. Alcohol abuse ignores national borders, and the results are always the same. Surrounded by dirty, yet bright-eyed children, you might assume that these children are innocent, little ones playing in the street because of a lack of supervision. The truth is that more than one million children live on the streets in the Philippines. Some sell cigarettes or snacks. Often they set up shop outside a tavern where drunken men sexually exploit the little girls.   Read More...

We are receiving some encouraging responses from viewers of the Asin at Ilaw program. One of the ministers at a local church in Manila said that he "likes the lessons and issues being tackled. The dramas are swak na swak [hit the bull's eye] to the lesson that we are discussing. Freedom Films Productions in Chiang Mai, Thailand works in partnership with GNPI. Some of the staff recently went on a “mission trip.” They traveled into the mountains of Thailand, bringing with them the necessary video equipment to show the movie Path of Decision, a drama about the dangers of premarital sex and abortion.   Read More...

Parents in Thailand have always been outspoken against premarital sex. Despite this stance, the problem of pregnancy outside marriage continues. The current abortion law in Thailand states that a woman may undergo an abortion only if the pregnancy would endanger the woman's health or if the pregnancy was a result of rape or incest.   Read More...
